Against the picturesque backdrop of the Castiglionese Wards, three communities have come together for an initiative that goes beyond rivalries, embracing a common goal: to equip the area with defibrillators and form a network of first responders for emergency situations. The idea took shape after residents of the three wards participated in a BLSD (Basic Life Support and Defibrillation) training course, learning the crucial maneuvers that can make all the difference in the early stages of a cardiac emergency.

The initiative, called “Solidarity Hearts,” was organized by the Municipality of Castiglion Fiorentino under the patronage of local authorities.It involves a challenge between participants from the three wards, testing their newly acquired skills in handling cardiac emergencies. The competition, in addition to being a way to practice the skills acquired during the BLSD course, has an even more noble purpose: to equip each ward with a defibrillator, ensuring that each community is ready to respond in a timely manner in case of need.
